Overall Thoughts:
I read one other book by Jennifer E. Smith and found it so interesting how the two characters related so quickly. It was such a sweet and upbeat read. This book did not live up to my expectations. I had heard so many good things about it and when I read it I really didn't enjoy it enough.
General Overview:
This book is about two characters, Graham and Ellie, who accidentally meet through email. They instantly click and become great friends. They begin to email daily telling them everything about themselves, while really not telling them anything at all. Turns out Graham and Ellie don't know each other as well as they thought. So when Graham comes to Maine to meet Ellie in person, neither one knows what to expect. Can the two turn an email relationship into something real?
Spoiler Review:
DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT YET READ THE BOOK.
First of all, I know both the characters are supposed to have like an obligation to being together, but Ellie. Really? Her father is running for president. I really don't see how that is, in any way, keeping them from being together. Also, I, kind of, don't get why Ellie's mom is so afraid of the cameras. Why does she care if Ellie and Graham go public. Graham as a character just wasn't really working for me. He was really not funny and had like no qualities that anyone would want in a guy. Ellie was okay, though she seemed kind of mopey. Just my opinion. I do like Jennifer E. Smith's writing style. She seems to know teenagers pretty well. In general, the book was okay, but could use some more action. It just needed some sort of thing going on.

When a misspelled email address and a conversation about a pet pig starts a virtual relationship, Graham Larkin and Ellie O'Neill have no idea what awaits them. They share every detail, except for Ellie's family tree and Graham's life in the spotlight. Suddenly Graham is in Ellie's hometown. Can they survive a relationship beyond the Internet?

Honestly, this was the cutesy summer romance I needed. Graham and Ellie are the cutest characters, and the whole story was an easy read. From small town girl meets city boy to family secrets, this book really had it all. Kind of predictable, but still very cute and loveable!

Cute stories like this one make me happy. :-)

I thought this book was really cute. I don’t usually read romance but this book had me obsessed with it. It’s really lighthearted and not hot and heavy.

An easy yet enjoyable light read. Nothing too heavy, and slightly predictable, but fun characters and cute storyline make it a quick book to devour.

This was really cute, but wasn't anything special. In the beginning, I was very intrigued by the characters and the story but that quickly fell away. The middle of the book seemed to have no plot and honestly become quit boring. I felt like nothing really happened for 200 pages. The end had me falling in love with the story again though. It was a beautiful way to bring all the characters back together. Good, easy read and exactly what I needed, but nothing extraordinary.

incorrect Maine geography + lack of whoopie pie knowledge= unhappy Sam.
