DID NOT FINISH

Did not finish. Started the book expecting some cutesy lil' story to entertain me for the afternoon, but ended up really disliking the unreality of the book. I realise not everything in a book has to make sense, but I've met to many online friends in real life that I just couldn't take this book seriously.

Ellie and Graham meet when Graham accidentally sends her an email about his pet pig, and they start exchanging emails for months, neither aware of the other's identity. Then Graham comes to Henley, the small Maine town where Ellie lives, to film his new movie, and they meet in person and discover all the things that went unsaid in their emails. This was a very sweet and easy-to-like book. Although the characters and the challenges of a relationship with a movie stair were more realistic than other books of this type, it was still a fairytale romance at heart. The characters are likable and the ending satisfying yet realistic, but the plot moved at a somewhat slow pace. A book of this type does not need to be 407 pages.

I finally finished a book this year. After a ridiculously long slump, I finished this loser after 20 days.

And let me tell you.

It wasn't worth it.

I went into this expecting an ice cream cone of guilty pleasure fun. It was useless fluff. Two stars because I didn't DNF. Though, I will admit to skimming the last chunk.

Anyway, bottom line, not my cup of tea. I don't recommend this to anyone. I didn't get out of it what I was expecting (my expectations trumped reality) and the climax had no payoff, being in and of itself completely anticlimactic.

I'm sorry, but what was the point of this book, again? Oh...nothing?

Great use of 20 days of my life. Should've gone for a fantasy novel. Probably would have finished it sooner, too.

This book just wasn’t for me unfortunately. I found myself skimming through the pages to finish it in the end. Think this would be perfect for a pre teen age range. It’s everything it’s described to be just didn’t interest me.

Wow, this was actually a fun book for me.

Imagine meeting a guy over the internet and just spilling your guts to him from then on... Now imagine meeting him and suddenly knowing that he's a famous movie star. Wow right? This book is just that.

The characters were so cute together. They made me laugh with their weird emails, useless trivias and just plain conversations. They were too young to think of so many complicated stuff, but they were able to manage it quite well.

The plot was a bit cheesy, but I guess all people need cheese! :) It's also nice reading about young people having grown up problems and solving it with simple things.

The ending was a bit open ended. I'm not complaining about it because the story deserves it. There are just so many things that can happen to both of them. I'm just happy to know that they have their happy-ending-ish ending. ;)
