I absolutely loved this book!! I especially loved how Smith made sure when you were finished it was on a happy note-Graham and Ellie are together, she's going to the Harvard program, Quinn isn't mad at her, her mom is okay with all the news articles. I really loved how we were able to have both perspectives-Graham and Ellie. It was really nice because you were able to see what Graham was feeling like when he went on the date with Quinn thinking it is Ellie, you wouldn't have gotten that from Ellie's perspective. I feel like this book had also a great plot where even the ordinary girl in the situation actually isn't all that ordinary and has a very news worthy background. Something else I found nice was that Graham had a regular lifestyle when he was growing up and he is able to realize how fame had a affected him like when he went to his parents house or when Ellie said she only needed to get a thousand dollars more. I also loved how Smith included the prologue in the beginning of the book in email format because you were able to see the first messages sent between them. I kind of wished that Graham and Ellie hadn't gone those three weeks without talking because that gave them barely any time together, I feel like three weeks went by in the story without us knowing anything. Besides that, this was an AMAZING book and I am recommending it to all my friends because it's such a cute love story! Jennifer E. Smith did a great job!!
So I really liked this book, the story was adorable and the characters so sweet. HOWEVER, I'm kinda thoroughly agitated with the ending. 3.7 stars
An absolutely adorable summer romance that is bound to leave you with butterflies in your stomach and a giddy smile on your face. I love this author and her grasp on the chic lit world, and I absolutely loved this story (even if it was a bit cliche) and the location (dream small beach town status achieved), but some of the plot lines didn't flow all that well and (although I know no one really cares) characters that weren't Ellie or Graham (once again Jennifer E. Smith picks some of my all time favorite names) were really flat.
Anyway, I definitely recommend it as an awesome summer read by an author who knows how to do what she does (also, wow, I used a lot of parenthesis)!

Although I really liked the concept, I just wasn't very attached to any of the characters.
I am in love with this. Imagine yourself emailing a random stranger who happens to be a major superstar, now that's interesting. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Two thumbs up for this J.E Smith!
While this wasn't my favorite contemporary YA, it was still a fairly enjoyable, fast-paced read!
Really liked this one. Loved the small town aspect and Grahem was a great character!
Sure, there isn't a ton of action, but the characters are interesting and the plot moves beyond the single-layer romantic comedy formula. A sweet and entertaining character-driven book that I couldn't put down.
