It wasn't that this book was bad; it just wasn't anything remarkable. It was fine for what it is advertised as: a lighthearted contemporary; but there isn't any deeper meaning or depth to it, in my opinion, and that's the kind of thing I look for, even in a contemporary. It lost my attention about 3/4 of the way through, but that may have been partly because I was in a book slump. I think this is more suited to people of a slightly younger age, but still a good read.
"If fate sent you an email, would you answer?"
One day, Ellie accidentally receives an email about this boy's pet pig and from there, friendship blossoms. They talk about everything, except their names and backgrounds. Ellie mentions in an email the tiny town in Maine where she lives, not knowing she'd ever meet this boy. The boy from California she's been talking to is movie star Graham Larkin and her hometown is the perfect place for his next movie. Plus, he'll get to meet Ellie. Only, Ellie doesn't know she's been talking to a movie star, because Graham enjoys having someone like him for him and not because of his fame. But will all the press that surrounds Graham keep Ellie away?
I'll be honest, 20 pages in, I thought I had this book figured out. That she's been talking to this movie star and has no idea, and that she probably even hates movie stars. There will be a fight then a big reveal and then happily ever after. It's been done a million times before. I was so disappointed. Except, a few pages later, I learn the chapters alternate between her point of view and his. While she doesn't know who he is, he knows enough about her to try to find her and take things from online to in-person.
It was done very well. It had me laughing and I liked the characters. I'm glad it wasn't predictable like I first thought. Overall a very cute read.

this book was not awful by any means. it was pretty decent actually. but i think the reason i didn't *love* it was because it was just so much like Zoe Sugg's "Girl Online". i did love the girl online series but i think this was just so similar that i didn't get roped in. the ending of this though?? tears.
Just finished reading this book and Oh My Graham. This contemporary book is perfect for you when all you need is a moodbooster for your awful days. This book will make you smile, smile, and smile! It's very light and just wonderful okay. Jennifer E. Smith, thank you so much but I need more of their stories pretty please!!
I loved this! I couldn't put it down!
Beautiful summer romance story.

Wow...I absolutely loved this book! It was just what I was was wanting...a light and fluffy contemporary! I thoroughly enjoyed how this book was set up. I liked how each chapter started off with an email and then went into the perspective of who wrote it. I just loved Graham's character so much! Probably one of my all time favourite male characters. He was just so thoughtful and loving and I loved how Jennifer E. Smith portrayed the "movie star heartthrob" lifestyle. It was so neat to have a book with an ordinary girl who falls in love with a famous movie star over the internet! Gah I just absolutely loved this book to pieces...I can't wait to pick up some more of Jennifer E. Smith's books!
Ellie is a girl from a small town in Maine and by accident receives an email about a pig. Graham is an actor that sudden rise to fame has him on edge, he welcomes the distractions of emailing Ellie.
This was a nice read right after I read World War Z. This book didn't have a lot of action but its probably one of the cutest reads I've read in awhile. It is definitely worth the time it took to read.
