I liked it. I'm looking forward to the other brothers stories. I hope all the ladies are virgins. I hope Connor, Spencer or Graham get with an older lady 😉😉

Love that Daisy was 29 *ahem* 28. I get the trauma, but she was a little too focussed on high school days and in the end had me rolling my eyes.

Great writing. Hated the families gor different reasons. And everyone needs to be told to chill out. Lol

Discussion about trauma, confinement due to kidnapping, and bullying.

Honestly didn’t suck me in the way The Art of Awkward Affection did. If anything it aggravated me to the point of wanting to through my kindle out the window on multiple occasions just within the first half of the novel. I had such high hopes for this novel between the quotes I came across before getting it, and after having read The Art of Awkward Affection, but The Art of Marrying Your Enemy was a major let down for me. There were points where I thought maybe it would pick up then there would be an interaction between some of the characters and I had to put it down again.

Between Aaron’s personality, his family’s way of putting his mother’s wants and needs above everything and everyone else despite how horribly she treats absolutely everyone, Aaron included both in placating and being treated like absolute garbage, and Daisy’s incessant need to do things to piss Aaron off, I had such a hard time getting through this. I understand that Aaron’s grandparents want to make their daughter’s life easier after everything she went through, but it honestly seems like everything they do just makes everything worse for everyone, especially their daughter cause they are letting her treat everyone like crap and guilt trip everyone into doing what she wants even if there are more pressing matters than her basically throwing a tantrum. Usually I can get with a stubborn female lead and a grumpy male lead with issues, but not this time. This was probably the hardest read I had in a while.

Even though I’m glad I stuck it out and finished the book, I cannot in good conscience recommend this book. It picked up and was significantly better in the second half but the first half felt like absolute torture in some parts. So if you enjoyed the first book and want to give this one a try cause you have high hopes, then I’d say proceed with caution. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend reading this book.

This was funny but a bit chaotic at the beginning and then it got to a spice level at a certain point that made me uncomfortable lol...

I didn't realize this was the second book so maybe thats why I was a little lost in the beginning, even though the first book is for the other brother.

However, did enjoy this and thought it was funny and will be reading the first book.

I don't know what happened but this book did a complete 180. I don't think either mc had any character growth they simply became different characters...

Unhinged. This book, these characters - all of it is completely unhinged. It honestly is a bit of a fever dream. The characters 100% have several screws loose.

It’s a good thing this is a dual POV book because otherwise I think it would be extremely difficult to sympathize with either character. Even knowing their perspective, it’s such a toxic relationship. No one should be with someone who treats them how these two characters treat each other. They go beyond mean and Aaron often becomes violent with Daisy. She reciprocates the violence too (though to a lesser degree). There is also so much verbal and emotional abuse in addition. Every single character in this story desperately needs serious therapy, except maybe Aurora.

I think I have read a book by Alina Jacobs before and enjoyed it, so I have some serious whiplash right now from what I thought I was in for. It was a fun read at points but only if you don’t take it too seriously. WOW, completely unhinged and delusional top to bottom.

Spice Rating: TV-MA. Extremely graphic and not entirely realistic smut. Not suitable for those trying to avoid graphic smut scenes.
