DNF’d at 50%. This was kind of an original premise (feels like there’s some spillover from ACOTAR?) and there was decent world building happening, but honestly, I was bored. I don’t feel attached to any of the characters even at the half way point of this book and I really don’t see that changing. There’s nothing really exciting about this story, the stakes are reading pretty low even though they should technically feel fairly high. I might come back to finish it for the sake of closing things out, but I’d just rather move on at this point.

This was SO GOOD

the beginning was a bit rough, but after that? I adore these characters, and I really appreciate the storytelling. It was detailed, but it wasn't hard to understand.

I can't wait for book 2!!
