Loved this story of Roark and Eve... although I should have read book 1 first.
It was still interesting, and wow, I couldn't imagine being in a time like that!
I will go back and read the first book.

Gonna go binge read the whole trilogy now brb

The premise is interesting and if the teaser is already this hot, I couldn't imagine how the full novels must be like

Great intro to this series! I'm loving the introduction of the hot priest! This intro mainly showcases the dystopian aspect of the story. I'm on the first book (Dead of Eve) now, which is full-length. I so need to see how this plays out!

I have a love/hate relationship with this series. Reading this novella made me want to re-read this (fabulous but made me want to throw the book against the wall) series. I just don’t know if my heart could take a second reading.

Even though this is book 1.5, it could actually be read as a standalone if you wanted to get a tiny taste of the series. Very graphic, horrifying post-apocalypse world, with a somewhat end-of-days religious feel to it. This one features Eve and a smokin hot, motorcycle riding priest.

Highly recommend [b:Dead of Eve|17130466|Dead of Eve (Trilogy of Eve, #1)|Pam Godwin|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1476974170l/17130466._SY75_.jpg|21580103] and [b:Blood of Eve|17287810|Blood of Eve (Trilogy of Eve, #2)|Pam Godwin|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1476974226l/17287810._SY75_.jpg|23908434] if you can take reading about characters you love dying, one of the most kick-ass heroines EVER, lots of intense zombie/aphid action, and gratuitous sex with three lovers.

This was a short novella introduction to the trilogy of eve series.
It focuses on Evie the last female and Rourke an Irish Harley Davidson riding dreadlocked priest who vows to protect Evie but at the same time is fighting a growing sexual attraction towards her.

They are both hiding out in an underground bunker somewhere in the English countryside.
The Earth has been decimated by a plague leaving behind only 10% of the population.
The rest of the population are either dead or have evolved into a sort of insectoid type creature that preys on the remaining humanity.
Evie and Rourke must not only avoid these abominations but also the men that want her for there own pleasures.

This short taste focuses on Rourke fighting his building attraction while also setting the scene for the upcoming series.

This definitely managed to draw me in capturing my attention and investing me in reading more.
For such a short read this had surprising pull and I’m looking forward to experiencing more in this world.

I do love Pam Godwin’s writing but I’m not a big lover of dystopian books. I threw myself into reading it anyway because I needed something quick to read between big releases.

And hello there Roark. A Harley riding. Big sword wielding. Dreadlock wearing. Virgin priest. Yep that is what I said. He rocks the dreadlocks and the cassock.

Evie is the only woman left alive in the world as humans have been taken over by giant aphids. I was there with the Harley and the virgin priest but damn the human sized aphids lost me.
