I can only read so many ‘lonely man living in Japan, who has issues with speaking to his family’ type of stories. And this was the one telling me I need a break from this ‘trope’. I personally didn’t enjoying reading “If Cats Disappeared From the World”, and believe it should’ve stayed in its screenplay format.

عندما انتهيت من قراءة هذا الكتاب،شعرت بمشاعر مختلطه شعرت برغبة شديدة في البكاء ولا أعلم لماذا؟ ربما وددت رؤية ردة فعل الأب لكن لم أستطع.. حقا،الإنسان كائن عجيب والكاتبُ أعجوبة.
ماالذي سأجعله يختفي مقابل يوم واحد آخر على هذه الأرض؟
الكثير...لكن بالطبع ليس أي مما قد أخفاه بطل الكتاب،الشخصية التي خطفت قلبي هي والدته يالجمال روحها!! أستطيع أن أجزم أننا سنكون صديقات لو التقينا،فكلانا نشع بالحب،وكلانا نحب القطط.
الكاتب حاول عرض فكرة الحياة والموت..والإنسان الذي يطمع أن يعيش لأجل شيء لا يعرف ماهيته،أحببت طريقته في الكتابة وسرد الشخصيات والمواقف العديده التي جعلتني أرتبط بهم واحدا تلو الآخر،البطل،صديقه عاشق الأفلام،والده الذي كان لا يجيد التعبير عن حبه بصخب، ووالدته المذهله التي شعرت وكأنني أعرفها منذ زمن.
كتاب جميل،شاعري،حنون،يشبه الذهاب لبلدتك القديمه،شريط الذكريات،وشموع الأمل.
ماذا لو اختفت القطط من العالم؟ هذا ماستعرفه حين تقرأ هذا الكتاب.

I really didn’t enjoy the writing at first, I thought it was too simplistic and childish. But I was a puddle of tears when it finished so obviously it wasn’t that bad lol
