sarcastic and quirky, but I could do without the sexist themes

cute! Perry is a very likeable character, torn between two guys who cant seem to decide if they like her or not.

my only gripe is the storyline about Courtney and Britain never really has a resolution...unless that's the subject of book 3!

I loved this book.

Peridot (Perry) is an 18 year old virgin that works at the Whistle cafe. Perry decides it's time for her to try and find a boyfriend and brings it up to her brother, Garnet, and father at the kitchen table. Garnet tells her that she need to make some changes in her appearance before she finds a guy that will be interested in her. After her changes she has a regular that starts picking on her and invites her to an art show that one of his friends is having. Perry makes friends with both the regular Marc and his friend Cooper but can't figure out which one she likes better. Perry also has a habit of opening her mouth without thinking at times and it can get funny at times.

Snagged this for my Kindle when it was free. So far, I'm really enjoying the book and the character of Peridot (Perry).

Finished the other night. Was an alright book. I enjoyed it, but wouldn't be quick to recommend it to friends. I was happy with the ending but not really with the path it took. Too much back and forth between Cooper and Marc.

super entertaining. Perry so reminds me of me. Twice I noticed a misprint calling Cooper, Marc but other than that totally enjoyable.

I loved this book. Laugh out loud funny. I am not a coming of age fan or things written in first person. But this is Perry telling her story and you get full disclosure. A really smart funny 18 year old dealing with love, friends, and family. Really enjoyed reading it!

I gave this book 3 stars. It was an enjoyable and easy read & had I been a slightly older reader I may have liked it a bit more. I really enjoyed her relationship with her father & brother. I find a lot of books do not focus on sibling relationships as much and it was nice and refreshing for me. I also liked that aside from her mom being a superstar I found the book easy to relate to and real. I would have given more stars if there were more depth but I still enjoyed the book and it's ending very much.
