Enjoyed “dark tourist” (the Netflix show, completely unrelated) and was hoping this would be similar. While this was a fun read at times, and droned on at others, overall a good read.

There were some laugh-out-loud parts to this book--and also some boring ones. If you only read one chapter, read the chapter on his visit to North Korea. Very interesting.
