This book has some tough situations not meant for younger kids. It is heartbreaking and hard to read at times. There is an amazing love story in it but, not for the faint of heart.

I originally rated this book as 5 stars because I literally could not put it down. But now that I've had time to think about it, I'm reducing it to 3. This is a very good book. It is interesting and invokes strong emotions; However there are things about it that I cannot get past

(MILD SPOILERS AHEAD)

Five and six year old children do not talk the way these kids talk! The whole time I was reading their conversations I was thinking are my children that far behind? At one point a six year old goes into talking about how something he does regularly makes him feel, and while beautiful, it reads like something a teenager would say...

On that note, the main characters are teenagers, and unless a lot has changed since I was 17-18, teenagers don't talk like that either.. At least the boys didn't. I had a hard time not rolling my eyes through several of their little speeches/rants.

And primarily, the main subject of the book when it is revealed literally makes me ill. If you have young children it is very difficult to read. I am still extremely disturbed and can't push it completely out of my mind. I did not like the way it was handled at all, but that is my personal opinion.

There were a few other things but those were the ones that kept me awake last night!

Wow I loved this book! First of all, I would definitely check the trigger warnings of this book if you normally do this. I won’t be discussing them in this review because I feel like they are major spoilers for this book…

In this book you follow Sky and Holder. They meet each other and because of the reputation Holder has, Sky tries to keep him at a distance. Holder on the other hand just wants to know everything about her and their relationship quickly evolves. First of all, I loved both of them! They’re so cute together and I loved the dynamic they had. After a while, it gets apparent that Holder hasn’t been the guy who he claimed to be. When the secrets he’s been keeping get revealed, Sky her life changes forever.

I can’t say much about this book because I’m scared to reveal to much, but oh boy this story was so beautiful. I couldn’t put the book down and I just wanted to know everything. It felt so real to me and everything was worked out so well. Around the end it sometimes got a bit long dreaded, but not so much that it got boring. I definitely would recommend this book!

Oh and if you didn’t know already; the second book ‘Losing Hope’ is basically the same story but out of Holder his perspective so I’m really excited to read that one soon!

Horrible. Absolutely 0 plot. Bffr.

This book took me through some twist and turns. I was expecting another Colleen Hoover book to wreck my emotions and leave me crying all weekend. But it wasn’t an epic romance story that broke me. It was the development of the two main characters and what happened in the past leading them to this moment now. I couldn’t put it down
