4.5 stars rounded up. I love Colleen Hoover's ability to throw in plot twists you just never saw coming, and this book was no exception. The book really grabs you by all the feels. The only reason it's not 5 stars for me is that as a 48 year old woman, I had a hard time totally connecting with the teenagers who were the main characters. Those years are too distant of memories for me to reconnect fully. But the storytelling is emotional, raw, real, tortured, heartfelt -- all the things Colleen does best.
This was a decent read, but not a great one for me. It's definitely not a YA novel, the topics in it are a bit too mature for a teenager in my opinion, but the writing was YA-ish to me, if that makes any sense at all. My biggest issue with the novel was all the monologues of undying love and devotion after knowing each other for such a short amount of time and him being creepy and stalkerish for the beginning of it. I don't know, I might have enjoyed this a couple years ago, but I'm not really into it now. Just my thoughts.

Hermosa novela corta, la leí en dos días, es definitivamente un page Turner. Linda historia de amor, toca temas muy sensibles por lo que sugiero revisar sus trigger warnings, te enamoras de los personajes inmediatamente. Me gusta mucho Colleen Hoover lately.

Beautiful exploration of the effect of trauma and reflection of how people can support each other through to healing.
BE WARNED, it's a trigger heavy story, especially in the second half where it turns from character driven to plot driven. I don't have the traumas mentioned, but still felt like I was getting triggered.
Still a tragically beautiful story with a HEA. Worth the read if you can make it through the difficult subject matter.
