4.5⭐️ WOW - I thought this was gonna be a cute little YA romance but BOY was I wrong! First of all, there are SA/r*pe and s***ide triggers and it is a very dark story overall but man was it a good one! The characters have all gone through SO much and you can feel all the emotion in the book! Looking forward to finishing the series!

When I read the blurb on the back of the book, I thought "Oh, great. Another teen romance about some bad boy who has 'met his match'." Though I was tempted to just put the book back on the shelf, I figured I might as well give it a shot because it had amazing reviews. And thank God I did! This book really was like nothing I've ever read before. I couldn't put it down once I started reading. Sky isn't the emotionless person she seemed like in the beginning of the book, you could tell by her habits that she was holding something back, except she didn't even know it herself. It was just so amazing watching the secrets come out and trying to piece it together yourself, though it seems impossible to. I'm marking this review as a spoiler because of the last two sentences, even though I'm not sure they were. Overall, this book was just great, Colleen Hoover has done it again!

This was my first Colleen Hoover, and I highly enjoyed it; I definitely didn't expect to like her writing so much (it's a 5 out of 5). Even though it's not my "type" of book, I kept reading and it was worth it. I noticed that lots of people here stopped reading it in the middle, but it gets much better in the second half.
Holder was too perfect (that's not a compliment), and I didn't identify with Sky at all, but it was a great story. I guess.

This book broke my heart in so many different ways, but ends up being a beautiful story about healing from things people should never have to heal from.
