This short story reframes how I think about the meaning of life, what is survival worth, the human experience, survival versus art/emotions, righteousness & rebellion.
It also inadvertantly illustrates well th fury some people have expressed at the sacrifices they had to make to accommodate the health & well-being of everyone under Covid & how high the scrutiny of scientifical facts get when they require we take action.

That collection of short stories has blown my mind like it hadn't been blown since I was 14 & read 1984. It took me a long time to finish it, because I kept needing to recover, emotionally.
