Not the typical Poirot short story-this tale has a thriller flare reminiscent of a Tommy and Tuppence tale. Hastings relays a dinner party conversation to Poirot in hopes of displaying his detective skills; instead Poirot’s little grey cells get tingly and the duo get entangled in unraveling why this particular couple got such a killer deal on renting a flat. This was an entertaining somewhat unbelievable tale any Poirot lover will enjoy. Wonderful change of pace. These stories always leave me wanting to be in Hastings shoes-adventuring with Hercule Poirot.

When Captain Hastings hears a story about a insanely cheap flat, he tells Poirot all about it. Poirot thinks there must be more to this story. So Poirot and Hastings investigate and find that there could a international crime plot afoot.

I'm enjoying all the different short stories featuring Poirot, some with or without murder, and with or without his usual cast of characters. It was nice to see Hastings involved here and Inspector Japp makes a brief appearance too.

Poirot Investigates was a intriguing story and I enjoyed it. I adore David Suchet's narration of Poirot and I will be back for more Poirot on audio very soon.

A mystery by the master of Golden Age Detective fiction. When one of Hasting's friends manages to rent an expensive flat for a very cheap price, Poirot smells a rat. Why was this couple allowed to rent the flat when so many others had been turned away? Why was the price so cheap? Christie fans will not be disappointed.

Mais uma divertida história de Poirot, desta vez envolvendo espionagem e tramoias internacionais. Muito bom.
