I really liked this book, but it was so hard to read. Lydia and Merritt are both so distasteful, I could only take them in smaller doses until I got further into the book. Well worth sticking it out. Merritt and Luca have the perfect marriage. A thriving business a child and one on the way. Then Luca’s 1st wife, Lydia, missing 10 years, presumed dead knocks on the door.

Baybee this book was unexpected for sure! I love a good story. I guessed the 1st twist but the 2nd one had me bug eyed for sure. Well written and a good read for sure. If you like suspense, this is the book for you. Lydia and Merritt are some characters and Luca is just a sad psychopath pawn that thought he could get his way. Lydia appears suddenly after a decade since she's gone missing to reclaim her life. Her ex-husband, Luca, has remarried and is living a posh life with new wife, young daughter and a son on the way. Lydia showing up and wanting her life back disrupts all the plans they've made, and you are along for the ride.
