It started out very slow.. and I got bored quickly. It wasn’t until about 150 out of 250 pages in that it got interesting. And even then, it ended a little disappointing. But I didn’t see some of the twists coming, so 3 stars it is!

I really like all the Minka Kent books I've read so far, and, for the most part, this was no exception, until the big twist (or second one anyway). Then narration by one of the POV characters completely changed to fit the twisty revelation. I'm not the biggest fan of unreliable narrators, and Unmissing is the perfect example of why, at least the last 25% of it.
The story in general kept my interest, but when the climax came around, I found myself rolling my eyes a few too many times. And when it was all said and done, the reader doesn't get to actually see the repercussions. The remaining narrator tells us what happened.
Still, Kent is a strong writer, and I have 2 others on my Kindle, waiting to be read.

Wow! This one kept me up late reading. Loved it and can’t wait to read more from Minka Kent.
