I read this one after I read the Twilight series. I wanted something that portrayed obsessive/I can't live without you love in a bad light, and this one did it! Good book. Romantic at first, then suspenseful, then fearful.

"I didn't want to forget that someone had loved me very much, so very much. It's you I want, he had said, only you. Nobody would ever love me like that again."

This is a book that left a heaviness dangling in heart , when I was at the last page . Involuntarily , my eyes had tears accumulated and I felt very sad for the heroine Alice . I am not a Voracious romance reader but this book is something that kept my attention throughout . There are lots of descriptive style passages and lesser dialogues but that didn't take off the attention it needed. A book that I don't want the romance lovers to miss.

Maybe I just like Nicci French's new books. This was bad. Boring. Pointless.

En velskrevet, spændende og trist roman, som klart kan anbefales til dem, der ligesom jeg selv elsker at læse om kvinders forhold til psykopatiske mænd.

I enjoyed this tale by French. Filled with lust and danger it explores the mindset of a person so caught up in eroticism that they are not able to recognize that danger.
