The Intimacy Experiment is exquisite in every way. The love and passion that went into this book are palpable, and Naomi and Ethan are rich in life. The depth of these characters, the emotional exploration of faith and spirituality and being consumed by love, the writing, it all makes this story so joyous it's heart-breaking. This is the sex-work-positive romance we deserve, but it's also a celebration of Jewish identity and faith, of family, of true love, of community. This has all the joy The Roommate does (though, if memory serves, less sex on the page), but with added spiritual and emotional depths as Naomi and Ethan explore their faith and capacity for love.
My only, very minor, criticisms are that the cover looks like two Sims characters, and the conflict felt a little rushed toward the end.
It's also always wonderful to read a romance where the heroine is bisexual!
