This was just okay for me. It was very predictable and fell flat for me. Tessa is a great character, love her…but unfortunately all others had limited growth for me. I usually like fantasy but this just wasn’t the best for me. Too long of a book that took more time explaining each character vs moving the story along. Overall just an okay read for me. Almost got a DNF but I chose to plunge on. 3.5 stars for me.

Look what this book pretty predictable? Yes. But did I have a good time? Also yes. I think if it was just a little less predictable, it would have gotten a higher rating. But I have high hopes for the rest of the trilogy and am vibing with the characters and world building
