Varg in Love made me smile. I love how Ulf's mind works. His logical deductions are impressive. What I like about the story is the underlying gentleness and sense of humour. A quick, pleasurable read.

Oh how i wished i read this before i started the series. I now have a better appreciation and understanding for the man whose name is translated into WOLF WOLF.

Honestly, it took me a lil while to get into the first official title in the series, however, i now await in anticipation to start the second title.... while I wait for the third to turn up at the Library:)

"That's the trouble with February - it's not a good month for crime."

Alexander McCall Smith brought the gentle wit for which he is so well-known to bear in this wee short story about his newest star detective. Short and sweet. Definitely worth the few minutes required.

A very, very short short-story. I am attempted to rate it only 2 stars, because I feel like being cheated. But I do have enjoyed reading it, so 3 stars it goes.
