It was very refreshing to read a classic! I chose this book  for a school project and it did not disappoint. There were many themes to analyze. Since it was very slow I may have not finished it if I didn’t have to though. I still enjoyed it and it was one of the better books I’ve had to read for school.

I read it for school with low expectations. J. R. R. Tolkein's writing is sometimes confusing, and it seems like he was making up what was happening as he went along near the end. The names confused me, but that's to be expected when reading a sci-fi book. It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be, and it's not really a bad book. It's just not my type.
