A collection of early memories by iconic figures over the past couple centuries, My First Memory intrigues the reader in three parts. Interesting for me though was how reflective reading this collection made me, after each passage I would stop and think about whether I had similar experiences, if I had such impressionable moments in my life when I was younger, and why. I've read previously that when we're younger we don't dwell much on memories, life is moving so fast that it's not until we're older and settled that we look back and reminsice. This book certainly made me ponder on how important memory is and to cherish more ones had or created.
