I found this book much easier to follow than some of her other books with multiple storylines. It was a fantastic book, with in depth character development. I was impressed!

DID NOT FINISH: 45%

Too slow and all the characters lacked any sort of communication skills, too frustrating and dragged out

I could live in Buffalo Valley! I love the setting, the small town feel, the loving, caring community Debbie Macomber has created fits its cover description, “heartwarming “

I get that this is a romance/fantasy/guilty pleasure type of book, and as someone raised in a rural community, I sure wish all it took to solve rural decay and poverty was a spunky young woman from Savanna.

But it reads fast enough if you work hard not to think too hard about the basic absurdity of the concept.

Loved this book but I think Calla is a brat who needs a kick in the a$$. I love Sarah but I’d never let my daughter ever treat me that way. She deserves to spend her misery with her father maybe then she will grow up
