I finished the 4th audiobook in the series, but sadly I didn't really enjoy this one. :( I had high hopes for it based on what happens in the beginning, but it was predictable and a bit cheesy.

♾️⭐️- “i don't want to see the world through rose-colored glasses. i want to see it with a wild flower heart like yours, desperately chasing after what makes me happy, wild, and free. and most of all, i want to chase after it with you.”

i am lost for words, my cheeks are stained with tears of happiness and adoration for the found family that i have had the pleasure of reading. i think this book series will always hold a place in my heart. it has bought me one of the greatest loves i’ve had, the thing that brings me happiness, pain and excitement in one go.

the setting for one is beautiful, i have a new found love for italy and just the very small costal town. like its mama mia but just 10 times better and with a gothic mansion with 13 rooms..

santi, where do i begin. his journey of being reclused for 3 years!! depressed and grieving the life he once had to becoming courageous and breaking out of the cell that kept him shut in. he quite literally is an inspiration and reading the last chapters and epilogue cemented that. he is iron man!! he can cook, play guitar!! santi’s development and growth are so important and such a beautiful message that you are not defined by the obstacles in your way. he also just has a way with words.. wink wonk. ALSO his acts of service too.. this man is TOO good to be fictional omg how do i get a santi?!

chloe, from someone who was so afraid to open up and being treated so poorly her whole life. to again healing and just knowing she deserves love and sharing that with santi. opening herself up to the idea of falling in love and just her character development too! i literally couldn’t ask for a better mc. she is an 80s movie lover and a hopeless romantic. she is devoted and courageous and just is such a powerful woman. and her wishes too! she is adorable.

"i love you, chloe. and it's okay if you don't know what it means to be loved by someone, let alone love someone else because i promise to love you enough for the two of us. to love you every day to make up for everyone else who failed miserably."

chloe and santi as a couple, their banter is unmatched. the way they tease one another and bounce back and forth!! i eat that up. their development and the fact they healed together and helped one another. chloe validated santi’s feelings and santi always wanted the best for chloe. they respect each others boundaries and santi isn’t lusting over chloe constantly. they way they showed their love for one another, reminded me so much of kb ritchies spice scenes and the deeper connection formed during. the way they use the beautiful metaphores to describe their love. so emotional, so witty, so beautiful.

I must say this is the best book in the series. It’s just the right kind of fluffy and spicy.
