At first I was deeply disappointed this wasn’t an exact copy of Draco Malfoy and the Mortifying Ordeal of Being In Love. I knew she’d have to change some things but I was not expecting her to change so much! Once I let that go though I did come to like the book for itself. I find Osric to be overly full of himself in an obnoxious way, think Squillim from SpongeBob lol. But by the end of the story the plot drew me in and I was rooting for the couple to just kiss already! Devastated to have to wait for another book.

Really well done story, lots of laughs but also lots and lots of lore and stuff about the moon and all kinds of brilliant stuff that ultimately gets skimmed as it feels like an info dump.These characters are a hoot, the crickets were my favorite ❤️

As one "in the know," I loved this book. Incredibly funny, I was laughing out loud through the entire book. Characterization is so spot-on I want to weep. I enjoyed this re-worked characters SO much. The yearning was beautiful and can't wait for book 2. I saw a lot of reviews complaining about the "lack" of world-building, but I think personally the air of mystery and the way the reader has to piece together the world, it's politics and on-going is so fun and engaging. Amazing audio!!!!! Obsessed with their creatures. Just perfect. The yearning is intense. The burn is slow. The characters are so fleshed-out, they jump off the page. The humor is impeccable. Loved this!!
