Book no 3 of the series.

I really like how different all of the characters are and that we are getting very different perspectives and journeys in each book in the series.

Dean and Allie are a fabulous pair and we really get to see their true selves in this book.

I think poor Dean gets a bad rep from the previous books (even from his friends) so it's so nice to see him have his turn.

There is trauma, laughs, sweet moments and a lot of spice!

Really enjoyed it.

Sexy, emotional, and entertaining. I liked this better than The Deal!

Dean Di Laurentis  & Allie Hayes

Trope: Friend with benefits to lovers, Secret relationship, Reformed Player, Alcoholism

Review: Dean and Allie are such an interesting couple. They are very sex-crazed, but it's also easy to tell that they also deeply care for each other beyond physical interests. I found this book quite funny from the beginning. It's fun, entertaining and absolutely charming.

Allie is an interesting character. Her struggle as someone who seems to always be in a relationship and is never single is something that many people can probably relate to. Most of her character arc was related to her ex, Sean, and her aspiration to become an actress. It was well handled.

Dean is such a charming person. I love how he is unapologetically himself. He feels like a sex addict, but we love him anyway. His high libido is quite amusing. Not only is he an amazing partner, but he is also an amazing friend. I think his journey through learning to overcome adversity is something worth admiring. It certainly was a challenge for him, someone who has barely struggled in life.

I would say that this book has given Dean a much bigger spotlight than Allie. It talks about his high school coach, career aspirations, hockey team and struggles with grief. I enjoyed watching Dean discover his true passion throughout the course of the book. Dean displayed a lot of character growth despite the times he messed up, and that's great.

This story has a nice balance of fun and serious topics. I also enjoyed seeing the characters of this series and their interpersonal relationships. It feels realistic even through all that drama. The author's writing style makes it feel like readers know the characters somehow. Many lessons can also be learned in this book. Sometimes, the most obvious path in life may not be the one for you, and the author expressed that well.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this book to those who want to read a nice, steamy and humorous college hockey romance between friends with benefits. Dean and Allie have vibes and chemistry. I like how mature their relationship was, and there aren't many misunderstandings here.
