I enjoyed this story, but after the next one, I'm going back to audio. While I enjoyed the story, the misused words really jumped out at me. And the rest of it was pretty well written and clean, so when those things happened, it really jarred me from the story. "Heard of buffalo"? Um, no. That was the first, but not the only one. Besides that, though, I did like the story. It was good to find out what actually happened between Jet and Aydan that first night. I think it was a bit of a douche move to move in with Cora and Aydan and have a revolving door on your bedroom. Especially when Jet was fighting his feelings for her. And vice versa. Of course, neither of them wanted to admit it, so maybe that was Jet's way of pushing her away and trying to keep her in the "friend zone". Once they finally gave in to their desires, Jet was so sweet to Aydan. I wanted to smack her for pushing him away when things got too serious. But all's well that ends well.

I have to say the author is going to have to do a lot of groveling on Asa's behalf to make me like him after this book. I'm sure the story will turn my opinion around, but based on this one, Asa is damn lucky to have Aydan as a sister. And to be alive. I really do hope he learned his lesson about how one treats family. If he didn't, Aydan's new "family" will certainly show him how it's done.

I thought the was a much better structured story than Rule (book one).

I wasn't as quick in finishing this one as I was with [b:Rule|17200687|Rule (Marked Men, #1)|Jay Crownover|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1357012113s/17200687.jpg|23675925]. It kinda annoyed me. Both Jet & Ayden keep telling them self they are perfect for each other, but both have too much crap going on. And that's the only thing they think about. The crap.
Focus on one thing, then the other thing. My opinion. So yeah, it wasn't really doing it for me.

But after I was halfway through it I started to like it. So still 3 stars, and I'm definitly going to read [b:Rome|17798233|Rome (Marked Men, #3)|Jay Crownover|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1378491674s/17798233.jpg|24897193]. Maybe I read more about Rule & Shaw in this one too, I liked them more then I do Jet & Ayden. Although, Ayden is a cutie pie. I just don't like Jet that much. I'm not really sure why..

It was okay

4.5 I LOVE Jet! and Ayden! This was a great read! I really enjoyed Rule, and was counting down for this one and it did not disappoint! Best part? Hearing Jet describe Ayden as water...swoon! Anyways, I loved how their pasts had them messed up and the tension was great-they're chemistry was unbelievable! Alternating pov's like in Rule. Can't wait to see what's next with Rome--and when oh when are we getting to Rowdy?! A must read for all Rule fans!

This was very well done. I loved the back and forth between Ayden and Jet, although I will admit she was very frustrating at times. I would love a Jet in my life haha. I'm looking forward to the next book as well. As with most romance novels, I found the ending to be unrealistic but I think that's more a flaw of mine than of the book itself. Overall, very well written (although a few typos on the kindle edition ick!) and had me snagged within the first couple chapters. I literally couldn't put this book down.
fast-paced

UGH. Just UGh. The whole story was perfect, I had major major hear strings being pulled and had moments where I was going "YOU IDIOTS STOP IT!" but it was glorious.
