This book takes you through a whole lot of emotions. Quite a lot of abuse in here and you would think people would learn from that, but they don’t. And that’s like life. Lily was almost following the same path as her mother. Allowing herself to be in an abusive relationship and then staying for as long as she did. Yes, she did eventually get out, but it took until her baby was born to make these decisions. There were times I was mad at Lily and there were times I cried with her.

I personally could have done without the spice I think, but the story line was good. I know many people feel this author romanticizes abuse, and maybe she does, but I don’t see that in this book. It’s honest to the experiences of many women in situations like this.

This is one of the worst books I've ever read. It's not only badly written it also romanticises abuse. This is not a cute romance book like it's always advertised. The main topic is domestic violence.
