Lighthearted rom com win. I didn’t read it until recommended because I really have a strong dislike for the cover.

But once I read it the pacing is amazing, the romantic interests are great and you feel the chemistry. I love the angle of them starring on a Netflix cough I mean *screenflix* show together too so they are co-stars on top of everything. Also in the epilogue everyone is going to therapy consistently and THATS how all epilogues should be . Def recommend reading if you like rom coms but wait until the third comes out or you’ll be like me, speeding through the first two and upset I have to wait around for #3. Also, how do I keep getting trapped in series that I don’t know are series until halfway through and I love them? Seems like weird book magic to me.

I loved this book! My thoughts are so incoherent right now because Ashton and Jasmine both resonated so much with me and made me so emotional. Especially Ashton's anxiety and when Jasmine talks about just wanting to love and feel loved--ouch, I felt seen. But there were so many other things I loved about this book, like the peek in at the process of working with an intimacy director, adorable Yadiel, and the very clear love for telenovelas and Puerto Rican culture. I also really enjoyed the way the author handled the acting sections. I wish there could have been more about the other members of the cast, as some of them just felt like names listed on a page instead of real people, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will definitely read more by this author!

Here is my review of You Had Me at Hola. I really enjoyed this book it had great representation that I resonated with. As someone who is of Latinx heritage but can not speak Spanish. Also, there is a good representation for mental health I can not say that I am an expert on the issues the author choose to single out but I think it was not shown in a negative light. Also as this is a romance it definitely had plenty of spicy scenes. They were all very respectful and super hot. Also, there is plenty of teasing of us I felt like where the author had to hold them apart. I loved and hated it in the best way. I defiantly recommend it for good Latinx representation but also a good romance that is healthy.

People raved all about this on TikTok and it’s good. Predictable but enjoyable. A cute read.

The drama. Love it. Enjoyed all the behind the scenes on the set of Carmen in Charge and liked the way those scenes were weaves into the story. The chemistry between Jasmine and Ashton great and believable. My ONLY complaint is the lack of great side plots and side character development
/storyline…I could not really tell the difference between Jasmine’s two cousins. I think it’s be fun to get books based on each of them. Would definitely read those.
