Falling for a famous chef
Picturesque setting
Feel good romance
This is the kind of book you read in a cosy armchair with a glass of wine in your hand. Given the setting is on a cuisine course in a family of cooks, you need some snacks on hand as well.
Hannah is a lawyer and a perfectionist who is stuck in a rut with her job in Manchester. When she is embarrassed at work because of her cooking skills she decides to go on the best cooking course and learn from experts.
While in Dublin she has a one night stand with a hot, funny guy with eyes so blue you can lose yourself in.
What happens in Dublin doesn’t quite stay in Dublin. When she goes on to Kerry to the course, it turns out the guy is a famous chef and part of the family that teach the course. Conor and Hannah try to avoid each other and keep their secret from his family and the rest of the students.

Cute, fun, easy romance book with very very low stakes.
I flew through this book and had a fun time reading about Hannah and Conor.
I also enjoyed the nods to the other books in this series. I picked up hints to Scotland and Switzerland, both on my TBR.
The romance was lovely, I now also want to escape to a months long cookery course in the rolling hills of Ireland, and even the mystery element was surprisingly nicely done.
I do wish the author would have used the Irish / Gaeilge -preferred spelling. RTE should be RTÉ and the guards should have been Garda. The (big word) erasure of even this small pieces of Irish culture did not sit well with me.
Perfect reading material for my trip to Dublin!

This is a lovely, heartwarming romantic story about a woman called Hannah who travels to Ireland and meets a man called Conor, who she gets close to. After she meets him, she then goes on to travel to a cookery school, where she is enrolled for a cookery course. Hannah has fun here, although she also gets a big surprise, which she is shocked about.
I really loved this book, which really drew me in, as I felt like I was on an adventure with Hannah, and it was just what I needed. It gave me warm, happy, cosy feelings and a lot of joy, as I travelled along her journey with her, and opened my heart with her.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Romantic Escapes series is completely new to me, and it seems a little wrong that I have picked up book 8 of 8 to review and be introduced to the charming storytelling of Julie Caplin! I was so drawn into this plot and all the characters that I was pleasantly surprised with how well this was written, keeping me engaged from start to finish.
This is a perfect, chilly Sunday read, that will warm your heart and provide a relaxing romantic tale. This has everything you would expect from this genre, and more. Although some parts of the plot were predictable, it didn't take away any of my enjoyment.
This has made me want to read the entire series from the very beginning, and also look into visiting Ireland, perhaps next summer! The descriptive scene-setting that Julie has achieved has made me want to experience the delights for myself.
I will definitely be looking out for future work by this author in the future and highly recommend this read.
Thank you Rachel's Random Resouces for a place on the recent book tour, and a gifted version of this book, in exchange for an honest and voluntary review. All opinions are my own.
