The cosy cottage in Ireland was my first book I read by this author and now I want to try to read her other books.
It was very nice to visit Ireland again via fiction. I have been there in person but fiction makes trips there a lot cheaper. I liked the characters and the romance.
This was a four star rating. Thank you Netgalley and publishers for allowing me the chance to read and review.

The Cosy Cottage in Ireland was published in 2021 but it took me a while to get around to reading and reviewing it which is unfortunate because I really enjoyed it! Fans of The Great British Baking Show will probably like this romance set at a baking school in the Irish countryside. Hannah is an English lawyer who decides to go to the Killorgally Cookery School to improve her almost nonexistent culinary skills. On her first night in Ireland, she has a fling with a handsome stranger named Conor. Sure she'll never see him again, she makes her way to the school. Imagine her surprise when not only does she find out that Conor is a bit of a celebrity in Ireland, but his family also runs the cooking school! This book is a sweet and fun romance set in a gorgeous location.

After having enjoyed the story on the Little Swiss Ski Chalet which tales about Hannah’s sister Mina I really looked forward reading this book. This book is a stand alone but knowing the story of Mina and their parents, which was explained in depth in the previous book is an extra bonus.
Hannah who is the sensible and steady sister hardly does anything out of the ordinary. To her own surprise she jumps on a stranger’s lap in the lobby of the hotel she is staying in overnight before driving to the Killorgally Cookery School in County Kerry. The next morning, she sneaks out of his room, thinking she will never see him again…
Upon arrival in the cookery school, she meets the owner and teacher, Adrienne Byrne, and is being escorted to her cosy cottage by her youngest son Fergus. A little later she has a big shock as Conor seems to be there too.
The classes taka a start and although Hannah is not the best student, she does enjoy it all. Especially feeding the chickens in the morning.
Some fun and less fun things happen and of course the path to the end is not smooth but the total ride is a nice one and I could see myself staying in such a cosy cottage in County Kerry too.
I love this quote from the book: 'Just don't want things to go off the boil on the way home,' he teased, in a low, throaty voice. 'You are a chef, I'm sure you're quite adept at keeping things simmering.' 'Oh, I am,' he agreed, his hand inching a little higher.
I like it that Julie describes some scenes briefly and let the rest to the readers imagination.
