A very quick, easy sexy read. The vibes were immaculate though the typos took me out at times and I kinda wished it were longer as certain aspects of the story felt rushed. I still had fun with this one though!

There are a lot of things I've enjoyed abkht the book. The setting, Léon is a fantastic MC, the writing. The love story is too fast to make it credible. This book needed to be much longer. Also, revenge stories make me uncomfortable

I think this could have been a lot better if it was longer. I would’ve loved more build-up between Matthias and Léon
before Matthias invited him to live with him/become a vampire. I was not feeling any chemistry between Claire and Matthias at all, I love poly relationships, but this one felt forced. I LOVED the attention to historical detail, you can tell that the author did their homework on the time period.

In the decadent degeneracy of 1920s France, León and Claire live lives of passion, sex, and drugs. But as they’re haunted by ugly pasts who won’t leave them to heal, the stoic Matthias appears with luring secrets.

It gets a spice score of 3.5 for its handful of explicit, paranormal, bloody sex scenes. Whoever says vampire bites aren’t hot is lying through their teeth.

There’s nothing that claims my heart as thoroughly as queer polyamorous vampires, truly. And I could see the vision and the passion for the story, which is why I give it two stars, but lord this novella needed a good editor.

There were some grammar mistakes, but what truly bothered me was the rush. Through the, at times, decadent prose and smoky atmosphere, there was no way of ignoring that this story needed a hundred pages more, AT LEAST. Did I find the characters intriguing? Yes. Did they have any sort of satisfying character arc or relationship development? Sadly, a no from me.

Inconsistent tone and pace was also a struggle to read through, BUT what this novella does have is personality and passion, so I’d probably still recommend it as a read if one is interested in this particular flavour of debauchery!

Note: I received an e-arc from the author.
Spicy and riveting! The writing is elegant and flowy, yet doesn't detract from the pace of the plot. It's easy to immerse yourself in the world and connect with the characters, all of whom are well fleshed out. If you want a spicy, queer vampire romance, this book is for you!
