I didn't love this book but it was an enjoyable quick read.

I listened to the audio book. The narrator was great. The story line was really light and made me laugh out loud a few times. Don't pick this one up for you are looking for something with depth, but it was a fun one to pass the time.

my review: eh
I saw a good review of this by a new author & gave it a try. Took a while to really care about characters & when I finally did, the end was horrible. Now I know how the Sopranos fans felt!

I listed on CD. The narrator had a pleasant voice and the story was easy to follow. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. The swearing fit the characters, so that didn't bother me. I'll definitely try Ms. Crouch's other book "Girls in Trucks".

Interesting but not a five star book. It passed the time but I wasn't too impressed with the story line.

The whole story revolves around a woman who uses her father's death/ disappearance to treat her loved ones like trash. I get that she went through a traumatic experience losing her dad, but the serial cheating on her husband just made her annoying. I have sympathy for the alcohol problems, but other than that, it doesn't give her a free pass to treat those around her like that. I know it was meant to make me feel bad for her, but I felt worse for her husband and family.

Reading this was a complete waste of time. I saw the author speak when I lived in charleston, so when I saw the book for sale, I thought I'd give it a try. Boy was I wrong. There is little to no character development and there is absolutely no difference between the two narrative voices. I'm one of those people that will finish a book that I start no matter what, so thankfully it was a quick read, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

No character development, and nothing really happens. Also this book is not about dogs at all. Disappointing read

Funny, delightful, sad. How lives can change in an instant and leave you stuck. How to move on and face the truth of things in life.
