Good to see a resolution to Seth's storyline. Not my favourite with all the analysis but still good.

I thought this book was going to be just as awkward as the first book in this series -- Sybill at first seems an unlikable and even nonsensical character, and Phillip is just not my kinda guy. He's a toast-points guy. Mmm, no. However, both of them grew on me, especially Sybill. The romance was fine, not fantastic, but that's okay -- the story of Seth's origin and arrival in the Quinn family drove this entire book for me. That story line is compelling. Nora Roberts is a great storyteller, and it's unfortunate that the romance genre essentially forces her to get people married by the end of the book. Boo. If that were not expected, I think the romance in this book would've been more realistic. But, again, I love the brothers' story, and I love the way Sybill ended up figuring into it.

This book was told from the perspective of the third Quinn brother, the one I liked the least from the other two books. I still enjoyed this book and there was some mystery to it also.
