How does a fascist become a fascist? I guess we’ll never know! in this case, at least.
I was of course disappointed in the main character’s choices throughout the novel, but that made her endearing. I understood her choices but wish she made different ones so badly, and it led to
her poor ending.

This book is so part-two-able but I really hope that never happens. Time travel books should just end. The logic of the time door can’t stand any further than it was explained so far lol.
Also this was surprisingly gorey (haha Gore) so that’s something to keep in mind. Also Liz thanks for telling me this was a romance. I guess! I guess it was! But I also guess it was a historical contemporary romance magical realism action science fiction novel
Whatever I am bitter about that ending.
They seemed so good.

I thought it was unique and really grabbed me, after I got to the halfway mark i really couldn't put it down. I've heard some valid criticism for it, but being the authors first full length, I have high hopes for her future works. Loved!

Eh. This book was SO SLOW that it made it hard to enjoy. And I was kind of disappointed by this book. The time travel science was very superficial and not well thought out, the romance lacked chemistry or tension so I couldn’t root for the couple, the sex scenes were awkward, and the main character was impersonal and bland. The anachronism of Graham and the other expats in the 21st century were interesting to read about but got a little old. I also felt unsatisfied with how this particular timeline turned out and the reasons why.
