when the king of france thinks ur a dumb bitch for wanting to invade his country so he sends u tennis balls and you end up winning a sick battle even though u were outnumbered 5 to 1 but u still feel bad abt urself as a human being so u go fishing for compliments from ur soldiers and they end up hating u so u prank ur right hand man into fighting them because ur actually a dumb bitch but at least u got the girl (and the two countries) in the end

i've changed my mind, i really like henry v. he's complex and that's the kind of character i enjoy. although some parts of the play weren't the best, it read like a comedy. i demand justice for kate.

i actually enjoyed this so much! maybe that makes me crazy idk, but definitely a new favorite work of Shakespeare. there was just something so captivating about it, i was rarely bored. i also feel like there is so much room here for creativity and directorial vision hehe

The last of the histories for my Shakespeare book club. I absolutely loved Henry IV, Part 1 and 2, and Henry V.

This is one of my favoriate Shakesphere plays because of the battle speach. And also because of William.

I liked Henry a lot and his speeches were my favorite. He grapples with the responsibility of leadership which feels VERYA relevant right now. He’s also sort of an aggressive jerk, which again is relevant. The rest of it is just fine.

All in all a good play, but by far maybe one of my least favorite Shakespeare plays that I've read. It's a history play and Shakespeare still managed to make it more complex than a simple retelling of the Battle of Agincourt, but for me, it lacks all the compelling nuances of other Shakespeare plays.
