Ugghhh it’s been at least a handful of books since I’ve stayed up til 3am reading. I couldn’t stop until my heart was completely shattered. By the end I felt every emotion towards every character. I was angry at them all while also seeing their perspective in an impossible situation that COULD have been avoided but…not by many people because every decision made felt true to human nature. I don’t know what else to say that wont spoil this book. All I have to say is Catharina better unbreak my heart in book 3.

My only complaint is I wish the sex scenes were longer cuz the chemistry is

Emilia and Kate are know at USC with Carter and Asher.
Carter and Emilia rekindled their relationship and try a hand at dating again. There are alot of ups and downs when it came to navigating their relationship especially where Kate and his family comes in. So once again they tried hiding and that didn't really work out well.

Anything else that I wanna say is just pure hatred and harmful wishes towards Kate. Like I had a whole rant IG. I never found a book character that I hate as much as her. Then this bitch had the audacity to blame Emi for her spiraling. Like you spent years being a snake and a fakeass bitch of a friend and you gonna call her selfish. You wanna say Emi is two-faced for choosig herself and happiness.

GTFOH bro. Like the way I prayed on this bitches downfall is incomprehensible.

Nope. I'm freaking done!!! Fucking Kate and Helen are pieces of shit!! Emilia just can't commit and acts so darn childish. Carter is not any better. I can not see them as a couple! I just can't. Usually, this author can build up the tension and character growth, but I'm not seeing it at all! Ugh! I feel so bad for Emilia for what Helen did to her. Her own mother hates her, and now Emilia has lost the only mother she's ever cared about. I'm so disappointed in how this book ended up. I don't care enough to finish this series.

Carter is still freaking perfect. I’m still obsessed, and I honestly don’t think that’ll change any time soon. Emilia is so sweet, but I need her to stop sacrificing her own feelings for people who don’t deserve it. And based on that ending, she might finally put herself first. Now, Carter and Emilia. They deserve the freaking world. They deserve to be happy and together. I need book 3 to give me that because these two are the definition of right person, wrong time.

I really liked the book and thought it was even better than the first one. The characters grew up a bit and I appreciated this a lot since some of their actions drove me crazy throughout the first book.
The ending was so fucking sad I was devastated. I mean I knew they'd meet again at some point but still, how they treated Emilia broke my heart. I was just so disappointed by Kate's mom. I mean we already knew that Kate's a bitch but her mom was such a sweetheart.

I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes colleague romance and doesn't mind faceplanting their book or kindle every once in a while.
