Jennifer Crusie

I would give this 3.5 stars, because this was a really well crafted book and Jennie Crusie is the queen of funny dialogue, but it had a bit too much marriage in trouble angst (side couples) for me to really love it. But it was good and I think it does something really interesting once the hero and heroine get together which is examining how they fit together as a couple and how they work together and compromise as people. I thought because of that the third act breakup was super earned and made it very real when they both examined their behavior and compromised when they got back together.

It took me a little while to get used to the narrator's voice, but then I was okay.

Again another entertaining book by the queen of wit.

A very enjoyable, funny read. Crusie in good form is some of the best comfort reading around.

Entertaining and enjoyable chick lit/romance/mystery. The mystery had potential, the love stories were cute, and it was fast-paced, lighthearted, and fun to read. Near the end he story dragged a bit, so I think it could have wrapped up sooner and cut a few dozen pages. Not as strong as Bet Me, but I'd still recommend it to those who like the genre and want a "mindless" read that isn't ridiculous.

It was kinda boring in the middle, but once it picked up the pace it was pretty good.

Entertaining but full of bad stereo types

I really enjoyed this book. It is the second book that I have read by Jennifer Crusie, and I have since gone to the book store and bought four more! I would suggest these for a quick, entertaining read.

A cute story... elaborate mystery... not bad for a guilty pleasure read.

Needless to say I've become a Jennifer Crusie fan. After reading Fast Women I can't wait to get my hands on more! I would call this book a "mild" mystery romance and I am a die hard fan of mystery romance; nothing has come close to Erica Spindler for that genre for me yet though. However, Jennifer Crusie does the genre justice.
