Wow. I can’t believe it took me this long to read this book, but better late than never. As a huge 70s rock n’ roll scene fan I couldn’t put it down. I loved the interview style and can easily say it’s one of the best books I have ever read hence the 5 stars. I’m a big fan of Riley Keough and Suki Waterhouse so I’m excited for the show. I will love this book until the end of time.

Crying score: I started crying for Daisy and I don’t know if I’ll ever stop.

Edit: Reread 3/21/2023
This 5 star will hold up til the end of time. It’s crazy how a second read can help you catch things you missed.
There will never be women greater than Daisy Jones and Camilla Dunne.

I miss this book already, it was such a fun read. The interview style of writing was so quick and easy to follow, it made it really hard to put down. I kept thinking “I guess I could read one more page…” again and again until I suddenly finished it. The story of Daisy Jones and the Six was epic, and it was so sad to see the ending of it, though it was for the best. I felt drawn and connected to each character individually.

Taylor Jenkins Reid does it again 👏🏻

I really really liked this book. I have never before read a book that was completely written like a biography. But it wasn’t even written like a biography I have read before, it was more like a transcript of a documentary, I mean I could just picture in my mind the cutting between different characters and what they were saying, and the way they were saying stuff. It was funny, it was heartbreaking, it was thought provoking, it was everything I could have wanted. I hate to compare this book to the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo because they are not the same. But I loved this book so much more.
the fact that we never even heard from teddy himself, but my heart still BROKE when he died.
It is just incredible writing! Taylor Jenkins Reid KNOW HOW TO WRITE A STRONG FEMINIST CHARACTER. And the fact that she can make all of the women in this book strong and feminist and do it in a non cringey way EVREY SING TIME. I will be continuing to read from her but I honestly don’t think it can get better than this book. Definitely going on the list of all time favs.

Really interesting read. Loved the format. Wasn’t too heartbreaking, a big win for me. *thumbs up*
