I think this was one of the best in the series. Very different scenarios than the previous books. Not sticking to a formula. Enjoyable read.

Clare Cosi wakes up on a park bench not remembering the last 15 years of her life including who she is engaged to now. What happened during the last 2 weeks, and who should she trust?
Fun read with awesome recipes at the end.

This is number 18 in this series, so you probably don't need me to tell you the plot...you're gonna read it anyway. But to sum up, Claire witnesses a crime and us abducted along with someone else. She shows up a few days later, having forgotten the last 15 years if her life.

Y'all. I like cozy mysteries. But none of them are anything that I'm going to re-read ever. So, I'm not going to pay for a hardback of a cozy. Yet this one has been out in HB for over a year and no apparent plans are made for a PB version. I even stumbled on a copy at 2nd and Charles, used, bit it was still $13! /Sigh. The only reason I ended up with it this time is that I had a bunch of digital credits at Amazon and ended up getting this for about $6. But if this continues, I won't be continuing with the series. Cozies don't give me $26 worth if enjoyment for a few hours read.

Anyway, the actual story...I enjoyed reading this one...but it wasn't a cozy mystery. There were no silly characters. In fact, most of the secondary characters were hardly in this one. Matt was SUPER annoying. And Mike felt very out of character for him, but especially for a police officer in general. I've always liked this series, but this one was probably my least favorite.

Ok this one tired my patience. As much as I like Mike, I kinda think him and Clair have zero chemistry. I don’t know, or maybe it just seems like the same old scenes over and over with them. I was kinda rooting for Matt until he started acting out of character and like a jerk. Though he redeemed himself at the end, and I kinda hope him and the one chick from the Fish squad end up together.
The mystery however was pretty good. It was just had for me because other things started annoying me.

Now I just have to re-read the two I read last year so I can say I read them all in a year

There is not as much coffee talk as usual, but the amnesia angle and the POV changes added a fresh twist to this entry in the series.
