I loved every word. Still completely relevant 20 years later.
I thought this was really well-written and managed its chronology and point of view well. The actual plot veered toward depressing but it didn't seem inaccurate to me. It def. kept me up well past my bedtime which I think is always a good sign in a book.

Really enjoyed this easy read. Felt initially like short stories but it’s snippets of the main character’s (Jane) life, with large gaps in time. I wanted to be friends with Jane and to learn more details, which I think is the sign of a good short story.
Plot was a bit romantic driven with a “happily ever after” vibe, but I was able to look past that.
