Um, it was okay? This was a fast read, that was not terrible, but I wish it was just so much more. Of course it makes sense that by the end of the story Mandy gets powers and a popular girlfriend, but like, she did not deal with any of her issue nor was there really any work done on them??? Not to be rude, but this was a very absent minded read and this is not what I expected from this author.

I’m not a DC comics expert and so my review won’t as much be what makes sense for the DC universe but just my enjoyment of this book on its own.
Things I did like: Mandy and Claire’s relationship development, Mandy and Lincoln’s friendship, all of the outfits/fashion throughout and the art style 🖼️
Things I didn’t like: the comments about Starfire and her outfits felt very dismissive and then made Mandy feel very “not like other girls”
Things I wanted more of: Mandy and Starfire’s relationship - I felt like we didn’t see enough of their relationship prior to the book’s primary conflict to feel invested enough - wish we’d have better understood their communication breakdown and some of the issues that built up but it was lacking for sure

Not a fan of the art style (though I adored the pink explosion that Mandy caused). I wasn’t particularly thrilled with the story either, but the Mandy/Claire arc saved it.
Honestly, I’d probably like this better without the Titans in it, and I love the Titans. I really don’t care about Starfire’s love life or Tamaran foods/gifts or her parenting.
