This was a bit predictable, but in the end not. We liked it.

A perfect read-aloud book with good opportunities for funny animal voices and lots of humor. Jack the Cat is trying to attract birds to his perfect nest so he can gets eggs for omelets, but nothing works out the way he plans.

I really love that the different birds lured to the next - and their chicks - all speak different languages/dialects (Spanish, French, American Country).

I love this book. The illustrations are awesome and it lends itself to being a great read aloud book for kinder and 1st grade. It is easy to put your own spin on the book with different voices for the characters. Even the teachers visiting my library enjoyed listening to this book. It has a very adorable ending.

My 5 year old really liked this book and we enjoyed getting to do voices for the different accents, so it was fun to read aloud together.

A fun story that falls flat at the end. Too bad.

A perfect group read aloud! Lots of different voices to do, bright, vivid illustrations, and both the font and the book are big enough for the reader and the kids to see well. The story is also amusing and fun.
