A brilliant little read. Upbeat and engaging, fast-paced and cleverly written. I particularly loved the titling of each chapter. The ending was also brilliantly suspenseful!

Whilst I have had this book on my kindle for a while, I have never got round to reading it. Trying to read a few more "classics", I thought I would give this a go.
I was surprised that I enjoyed it. Following Richard Hannay whilst he was caught up in a matter of security and traipsing all over Scotland, trying to avoid capture. The book kept my interest and I read it through a Sunday morning.

A classic thriller and a good quick read. Set on the cusp of the Great War, you get mystery, action and witty character studies. Like all writing and film around this period, I fine it very satisfying that it definitely feels historical and yet the increasing presence of technology in their lives cannot be ignored as we enter the 20th century.

I didn't know what to expect, as I went into not knowing much. I actually enjoyed it and glad that I listened to it. It was a nice easy listen, especially as it was free. It was easy to get into, which I don't know if it would've been if I actually read it.
