1) Thank goodness for libraries so I don't have to buy this shite.
2) I feel dirty (and not in a fun way) just for reading this.
3) Diabolically good hook but so damn gross.
4) Unfortunate bursts of good writing which makes the rest so much worse.
5) This thing is going to make a shitload of money. Weep for America.

Fun beach read —not too deep—reads like a screenplay—the premise is great but character development was strictly 3rd rate-would have loved to read this if Dennis Lehane had written it.

Here's a thriller that's sure to be every parent's nightmare!
It begins with an ordinary day, as Rachel Klein drops her daughter, Kylie, at the school bus stop, only to be shocked and terrified by a phone call from an unknown person, advising her that Kylie has been kidnapped and demanding a ransom for her safe return. If that's not bad enough, Rachel is also directed to find another child to kidnap and hold for ransom before Kylie can be released.
Who will she pick?
Who will she trust to help her with this impossible task?
The author deftly weaves a real page-turner of a novel - give this one a try! -Louisa A.

I felt like I finished the book not knowing much about the characters. I couldn't imagine them as real, and I was always aware that I was reading about them. But the plot is intriguing and I had to see how it ended.
