I had the potential to really enjoy this book because of how unique the plot was, but the dialogue completely ruined it for me. It's been a long time since I've ready something with such cringe worthy dialogue. It just didn't feel like real people talking to each other; especially the teenage daughter. It felt like the author had never interacted with a teenage girl before and it shone through.

A twisted concept but makes for a great book! Kept you on your toes throughout, but towards the end I knew how it would play out. The twist I think was expected and alluded to pretty obviously so there was no “OMG” moment for me. Good read.

Fast paced and exciting - reads like an action movie
Very cool premise - unnerving
Picked it up because of the Stephen King blurb and was not disappointed

This book had a fascinating (but super creepy/disturbing) premise and was a real page turner, especially for Part 1. The writing, though, was not fantastic. Also the ending sounded like a Hollywood manuscript (not in a good way) and a lot of cheesyness.
