informative reflective slow-paced

This is the first nonfiction book I've read specifically on dominance/submission, but that was very intentional. So many of the books out there have descriptions that give off red flags. This one sounded like it was fully grounded in consent and safety, and I'm happy to report that is absolutely the case.

This is a great introduction to dominance/submission, and if you've already had some experience in it or have done a lot of research, this book is probably going to cover things you already know. But the detail and thoroughness of this exploration is still well worth a read. It gives you a lot of food for thought, and discussion points with your partner(s).

If you're at all intrigued by the D/s dynamic, this would be the book I would tell you start with.

Survey of the Lifestyle

Fulmen provides an excellent survey of the necessities and styles of dominance within a relationship. He explains the skills one must develop to be dominant ethically and then opens the door to the world of ways that one's dominance can be expressed. This is an excellent guide for those exploring the D/ side of the slash.

Honestly the best book I've read so far on the topic of D/s.
