Pete the Kitty: Ready, Set, Go-Cart! By Kimberly Dean, illustrated by James Dean, published in 2021. The book was written for the age group of four to eight-year-olds. The story is about Pete the Kitty wanting to build his own go-cart. But he is missing a few things. The predictable books are designed to help children learn to read by repetition of language, story patterns, and sequences. The pattern throughout the book of cause and effect with “something is missing” Makes an excellent model for writing patterns. Making the reader interested to continue reading and follow along with the story. <picture book><fiction><funny><lighthearted>
