3.9 AVERAGE

ACTUAL RATING: 4.5.

HOLY SHIT!

THIS HAS BECOME MY FAVORITE SERIES.

THAT ENDING WAS INTENSE.

This book ripped my heart out and served it to me on a silver platter. I gave it three stars though because, up until the last three chapters, I thought this book was amazing. Well it still is amazing, but that flipping twist at the end just... Oh my god left me sporadically bursting into tears and hitting all the stages of denial.
I suppose I would still recomend this book, because it is a good book, but just be preparred to have a bawl fest when your done.

OMG!!! The end of chase had me crying for two days, its so sad and i cant wait until she writes the next one. I just cant get over how things ended up but i was so happy that bryn got her own back on shay, its heartbreaking that devon had to go though i was expecting it. i love this book!!

Another good one. The last 100 pages had me on the verge of a breakdown! Lol bitter sweet ending. Ready for the next book.

Loved the book, nearly everything about it. The one thing I didn't like has caused me to only rate it with one star.
Chase dies... Seriously? What the actual hell?

I will still read the next one (if there is a next one) since I've loved this series for so long, purely in the hopes that somehow, some way, Chase will come back. If he does come back (as a ghost or whatever..) then I shall change my review of this book (maybe) but until then I am thoroughly angry with this book and the author for even putting me through that emotional trauma.

The next book better be released pretty darn soon and have Chase back in it too or I may just give up on this series all together.

EDIT***

Okay, so I've just seen that Barnes has no plans to continue this series, even though it wasn't, in my opinion, even completed! I may not be an author myself but I don't think someone is a true author if they just leave a series like that, killing off main characters and not even really finishing the story. You wait the whole time for Bryn to become a werewolf and just as she does, no more series, seriously?
This has gone from being my favourite series to my least, and so has the author.
You don't just leave a series like that, as if you've gotten bored. Do you not even think about your fans?
I will definitely not be suggesting this author's work to others any more, if anything, I'll be doing the opposite.
I'm very passionate about my books and I think authors should be too, obviously. But I just feel as if Barnes isn't as passionate as she should be, after just ditching this brilliant series.

This series is definitely one of my favorites. This installment was filled with love and loss, friendship and loyalty, families and betrayal. From beginning to end, it was a book that I could not put down. I dived in and felt the story surround me as I delved deeper and deeper in.

I want to cry right now.

I've mentioned before that Jennifer Lynn Barnes is evil and I love her. But I've never felt that she was evil in a bad way before, just in a omgosh I can't believe it was so good.

After Taken by Storm I've had to revise that opinion. The last quarter of this book she yanks on all your heart strings and I can't believe it.

SpoilerNot only did she kill (and yes I blame her) Chase, but she let Shay do it. *sniffles* I miss Chase.

I struggled over the rating for this one because it was really good, definitely better than the second book but I HATED what happened. Jenniefer Lynne Barnes has a knack for writing really strong likeable characters, particularly the women. I can't believe she
Spoiler killed of Chase, and then had Devon leave as well
Spoiler and poor Maddy. How much is one girl supposed to suffer! I know Bryn & Maddy will always have what happened with Lucas between them but really they have so much in common in both temperment and loss that they are probably the only ones who really understand each other.

I love this series, but this book made me sad i cannot believe how it ended :(

Took me a mere couple hours to finish this book. Like the two preceding it, this book was fast-paced and addictive. You can't help but want to read about Bryn. Her entire world is so entrancing.
However, I hated the ending. More than I have hated any part of a book in a long time. I dont' know if Barnes was trying to tie things up or what, but it was so sudden and just wrenching. Not in a good way. Not even in a way that I'll look back on in a couple months and say was good. This writer has been touch and go for me through several books and I'm sorry to say this one didn't quite make the cut.
